And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is a WRAP!!
This was quite a year!! And as happy as I am that it’s over, I am equally sad to say goodbye to my cherubs!!
The really cool thing, though, is that I’m moving to seventh grade next year (I currently teach 6th grade), so there is a good chance that I’ll have a few of my friends back in my classroom come September. (I’ll be posting a lot more on my move this summer, so stay tuned!!).
Anyway, I’m pretty spent after this loooong day, so I’ll leave you with a snapshot of my nightstand…
This is my reading for the summer and I’m stoked to dive in!! Especially excited to read Learn Like a Pirate, as it’s been all abuzz on the Internets over the last few months!! With four kids, age 5 and under, my summers are just a little busy, but I really hope to get through all of these by September. I’ll keep you posted 😉
So, are you a PD-reading nerd like me, or do you spend your summers lost in juicy fiction? Or, do you turn your brain off completely and skip reading altogether? I’d love to hear from you 🙂
Happy Teaching Summer!!
I am a "PD-reading nerd" and I'm proud of it. Thus how I discovered your blog today. Teaching is my passion and my desire to improve doesn't end just because the school year is over.

We sound like kindred-spirits, Katie B. 😉
I really hope you enjoy "Learn Like a PIRATE," Jenna! I, too, am a PD-reading nerd and was so excited to add my book to so many teachers' piles of summer reading! I hope you'll blog about your thoughts on the book, as I've really enjoyed reading what others have posted since it's been released! 🙂
Oh, wow, Paul! Thanks for checking out my little blog 🙂 Can't wait to read the book and look forward to sharing my thoughts about it!!
I read a lot of PD and "fun" reading. I've read something like 4 PD books this summer and about 10 other books. I didn't keep track of the articles I read, though, but there were a LOT of them!
Awesome, Stephanie! I miss "fun" reading! Rarely do it anymore. When my kids are bigger, I hope to get back to it!! Thanks for reading!
